Failed to repair a warranty item
To Whom it may concern,
I bought a scooter from the dealer on 6/20/2011. The day I purchased the scooter I was told I have full 100% on parts and labor warranty. I was told that my registration license plate will arrive within 1-2 weeks. It took them 3 months to get and deliver a license plate for me which is far to long. On 11/22/2011 (two weeks after I bought the scooter) I reported a problem with the mirror fascia on the scooter which simply felt off and was missing. I was promised to get a replacement withing 1-2 weeks, and until now it hasn't been fixed. On November 6th/2011 I reported another problem with the scooter. It was leaking gas. I was told by the employee it is very dangerous and it will be fixed as a priority repair. They told me to bring the scooter week later. On 11/22/2011 I brought the scooter for a warranty repair. In the meantime scooter started died. I was promised to get all three problems (missing mirror part, leaking gas, and broken starter) fixed within a week or so. After the week passed the dealer hasn't even bothered to call me that the scooter is still not ready. Despite several calls, visits and warnings the dealer failed to fix this vehicle until toady. They try to excuse this situation by the fact that they have a mechanic who comes to work occasionally or that they cannot find the replacement parts. I cannot imagine how is it possible that the dealer has no full time mechanic for warranty repairs and how the replacement parts are not available for the dealer if I was able to look up and find almost every possible part for that scooter on internet. Even if this is a case, then people working at Genoa Motorsports should not run the business like this as they are not capable to provide services promised in warranty. Buying scooter at this dealer was a big mistake for me and I would strongly discourage everybody I know not to deal with the particular dealer in the future.
Your Desired Resolution:
If the dealer is not able to fix the scooter within a week from this complain I would like to request replacing this vehicle with another - new one, which they have on stock, or give me a full refund to the product I bought.
Yours Sincerly
